Caracas, 16 May. AVN.- In cooperation with the People's Republic of China, Venezuela is now building 13,000 houses in a city under construction at Ciudad Tiuna, a housing complex in Fuerte Tiuna fort, in Caracas, informed Thursday Housing minister Ricardo Molina.
Inspecting the housing complex, together with Chinese vice-president Li Yuanchao, minister Molina stated that the overall houses are expected to be finished by 2014.
"There are 13,000 homes here under construction thanks to the bi-national agreement China-Venezuela. The total houses are 23,000 because there are 6,500 under construction jointly with the Russian delegation and 3,500 with the Belorussian delegation. Together, we will have completed this beautiful project of supreme commander Hugo Chavez," Molina said.
In addition, the Minister emphasized that houses at Ciudad Tiuna will have 72 square meters, social areas, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, as well as service of water, electricity and gas.
Also with China's support, Molina recalled, Venezuela builds houses at states Barinas and Aragua.
"We see Chinese and Venezuelan technicians and workmen working as a single team. For that reason., we have been successful in the progress of the construction," he added.
In turn, Chinese vice-president Li Yuanchao reaffirmed that housing project Ciudad Tiuna moves on as planned.
"It is working good and I may confirm the good relationship among workmen of the two countries," said the Chinese Vice-president.
Li Yuanchao ends Thursday a visit to Venezuela, where he arrived last Sunday to strengthen relations of cooperation and fraternity.
