Caracas, 17 Abr. AVN.- A statement released by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry reads that the National Government welcomes and supports the decision of President Cristina Fernandez to nationalize Argentina's main oil company YPF.
The document also rejects the threats and intimidation attempts posed from Europe against Argentina.

President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Commander Hugo Chavez, welcomes and backs up the decision informed by the government of President Cristina Fernandez to nationalize the main Argentinean oil company.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela highlights the validity of the sovereign management doctrine over natural resources, particularly energy resources, ratifying this way the course that our countries are building as bilaterally as within the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects threats and attempted intimidation that, from Europe, have been posed against the Argentinean Republic and calls on sister nations of the continent to accompany Argentina in the exercise of its sovereign rights.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela offers the Argentinean government and people all the technical, operational, legal and political experience of the national company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) to strengthen the oil public sector and solidify energy sovereignty.
