Maduro calls for unit of revolutionary militancy for Dec. 8 elections

Caracas, 22 Jun. AVN.- Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro, confirmed on Saturday his call for unit of the revolutionary militancy to achieve the socialist victory in the municipal elections on 8 December.

Through @NicolasMaduro, he wrote: "I call on all Chavez's men and women of the country, to work for the unity of the people. To beat fascist right. Let's come together."

President greeted the mayor of the Iribarren municipality of Lara state, Amalia Saez, who announced that she does not want to be reelected in the December elections.

"Congratulations to Amalia Saez for her humility and the example she has given: her resignation from her position to seek a unitary candidacy," published Maduro.

"Through such examples, like becoming detached from individualistic and group aspirations, is that we will build the great victory of December 8," he said.
